The Seattle Kraken announced on Monday, June 29th, that the team had signed forwards Lleyton Roed and Jon-Randall Avon to one-year NHL deals, adding two more players from the organization’s system.

Roed appeared in 65 games last season with the AHL Coachella Valley Firebirds, recording 11 goals and 27 assists for a total of 38 points. ​The 23-year-old was undrafted in the NHL. ​

After two seasons at Bemidji State University, he joined the Coachella Valley Firebirds and has played with the team for the past three seasons. ​

In 126 AHL games, he has recorded 25 goals and 41 assists. ​

Avon also spent last season with the Firebirds, appearing in 45 games and recording 24 points. ​He played the two seasons prior with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The 22-year-old went undrafted and was traded to Seattle on September 4, 2025, from Philadelphia. ​

​Both players signed one-year, two-way deals worth $850k AAV.
