
Seattle, WA - The Seattle Sports Commission announced the finalist for this year's winner of Sports Story of the Year, Assistant Coach Jessica Campbell of the Seattle Kraken.
Campbell made history in 2024 when she become the first woman to coach an NHL team.

In January of this year, Campbell was honored at the Professional Women's Hockey League's Boston vs Montreal game at Climate Pledge Arena during a ceremonial puck drop.

Campbell previously coached alongside Head Coach Dan Bylsma for the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds, where she made history in 2022 as the first woman to coach in the American Hockey League and led the team to the Calder Cup Finals.
