Fans Voted Daccord As Their Favorite Kraken Player
No one needs to remind Seattle Kraken supporters to "Like" and "Subscribe" to goalie Joey Daccord.
Daccord was voted "Favorite Player" by fans this past season. The prior season at AHL Coachella Valley, Firebirds fans were so fond of Daccord he earned the nickname "Mayor."
The 27-year-old Boston native says he's not sure why he's always been the recipient of such strong support.
We're sure we know. Half of it has to do with stopping pucks. A goalie who finishes 6th in the entire NHL in goals-against average (2.46) and tied for 5th in save percentage (.916) is guaranteed to make lots of friends.
The other half is Joey's infectious personality; the underdog story, a swashbuckling, athletic style between the pipes, the constant smile - what's not to love?
