The Seattle Kraken have been linked to nearly every top available forward in free agency and the trade market but they aren't the only team looking to make a splash.

The Kraken have been linked to Martin Necas, Nikolaj Ehlers, Trevor Zegras and Patrik Laine among other available top-six forwards. They've also been linked with top free agents like Sam Reinhart, Anthony Duclair and Tyler Toffoli.

Teams that have been linked to multiple Kraken interests are the Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators,  Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres.

The Canadiens, Sabres and Flyers fall under the same category as the Kraken. Each of them have young forward groups that are lacking a bit of star power. Adding a veteran forward who has been in the playoffs could propel their lineups to the next stage of the team's development.

The Predators and Bruins are in a different stage than the rest. With a mix of veteran forwards and superstars, they're missing another star forward to help their lineup excel. Filip Forsberg needs another winger or a second-line player to take some of the difficult matchups away from him and the same could be said for David Pastrnak.

The Predators feel that another star forward to play with some of the prospects they plan on implementing into their lineup will allow them to go on a long playoff run. They have the salary cap space for it and the prospect depth to make a trade for any of the available players.

The Kraken should have as much confidence in their young roster as the Canadiens, Flyers and Sabres do and should show their confidence by hunting down one of these big-name players.

They have as much cap space and prospect depth as any team in the NHL and this offseason is likely their best opportunity to showcase it.
