Busy Week Ahead for Kraken: Adam Proteau Breaks It Down

HC Bylsma on Tanev 'He Needs To Bring That Energy Every Night'

The Seattle Kraken have more than a few showdowns in the next seven days, and they're not going to have an easy time of it.

Indeed, starting Tuesday, the Kraken have four games in five days, starting on the heels of their 5-1 loss to Tampa Bay Saturday. But on Tuesday, they kick off their week by hosting the Ottawa Senators, who've won five of their past six games, and who've already beaten Seattle in a 3-0 win Nov. 2 in Ottawa.

Then, Thursday night, the Kraken begin a four-game road trip by taking on the Chicago Blackhawks. Seattle beat the Hawks 3-1 on Nov. 14 in Seattle.

Two days after that, the Kraken play the first night of back-to-back games when they do battle Saturday with the Vegas Golden Knights, who they previously beat 4-3 in overtime Nov. 8. And on Sunday, Seattle goes head-to-head with the Colorado Avalanche, who beat them 3-2 in Seattle Oct. 22, and then again by a 6-3 score Nov. 5. in Denver.

The Kraken's current road record of 7-8-0 record doesn't bode well for them this week, but they have won four of their past seven games, and they understand that a push has to be made sooner than later for Seattle to climb up the Pacific Division standings.
