The Seattle Kraken announced on July 10 that goaltender Victor Ostman had signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000 annually.

Ostman went undrafted in the NHL, making his professional debut with the Kraken in 2024-25. The 25-year-old has appeared in two NHL games over two years, recording 47 saves and a 1.56 goals-against average.

He made his Kraken debut on April 26th against the Colorado Avalanche.

Ostman was named to the Hockey East Second All-Star Team in 2023 and signed with Seattle as a free agent on April 3, 2024.

The goaltender played four seasons in the NCAA with the University of Maine before joining the Coachella Valley Firebirds in 2023-24.

In the past three seasons, Ostman has appeared in 41 games with the Firebirds and 32 games with the ECHL Kansas City Mavericks.

The 6-foot-4 goaltender is now signed with the Kraken through the upcoming 2026-27 season.
