The bad news keeps piling up for the Seattle Kraken, and especially for snake-bitten winger Andre Burakovsky.
Actually, a snake bite is about the only setback which hasn't befallen Burakovky, who is back on the week-to-week injured list with what's officially being called an "upper body" injury.
The winger had just returned Thursday against the New Jersey Devils from his last stay on IR.
He'd been out of the lineup 20 games due to an injury suffered against the New York Rangers October 21.

During the second period of Thursday's game, Burakovsky assisted on Tye Kartye's goal which briefly tied the game 1-1. It was exactly the offensive spark the team has missed in Burakovsky's absence.
But later in the period, he appeared stung by a hard check. He's skate only three more shifts in the game, none after the first few minutes of the third period. Counting the groin tear which cost Burakovsky the last half of the 2022-23 season, this is his third significant injury since signing as a free agent with Seattle in the summer of 2022.
We can't promise happier news when we examine the Kraken's current six game losing streak, in our latest Kraken Reaction video.
