For most of us, "Foolish consistency," as Ralph Waldo Emerson observed, may be "the hobgoblin of little minds."
For NHL teams - as long as they're not foolish - consistency is a winning formula. And it's a trait the 4-6-2 Seattle Kraken have yet to establish.
Fans at Climate Pledge Arena have seen the team's inconsistency for themselves during the last two Kraken games.
Thursday, in a 4-2 victory over Nashville, Seattle played with the energy, pace, effort and speed demanded by coach Dave Hakstol. On Saturday, those qualities were missing in a 6-3 loss to a Calgary team which had lost its last six games.
Hakstol, befitting a former college coach, almost unfailingly gives thoughtful answers. So you'll want to hear his blunt thoughts to my question about consistency, in our latest Kraken Reaction video.
