In the Seattle half of a split-squad doubleheader between the Kraken and the visiting Calgary Flames, the home team began to exert its will... Oh, who am I kidding? It's the first pre-season home game of the season. I'll try again.
By virtue of a 5-3 victory in Calgary, and a 3-2 shootout loss in Seattle, the Kraken won the aggregate goal score, 7-6, thereby capturing the inaugural "Tentacled-Fireplace Poker" trophy…
Okay, now I'm just making stuff up. It's hard to get too fired up - sorry, Flames fans - about the first night of pre-season, even if there were two games. But we tell the honest to goodness stories of the two games, in the Kraken Reaction video package below.
