Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky returns Thursday to one of the two places he helped win a Stanley Cup.
Burakovsky was a member of 2018 Washington Capitals Cup champions. Injured goalie Philipp Grubauer was a teammate on that Caps team.
He repeated the feat with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022. That team also has connections to tonight's matchup at Capital One Arena - goalie Darcy Kuemper and forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel now play in Washington.
Unlike his time in D.C. and Denver, Burakovsky's two years in Seattle have been more nightmare than fairy tale. Since signing a five year, $27.5 million contract in July, 2022, the Kraken winger has suffered three major injuries.
He's back healthy now, and the subject of this Kraken Reaction video.
