New Role, New Linemates For Kartye As Seattle Hosts Ottawa Tonight

    Image

The Seattle Kraken continue to thrive despite injuries. Among recently inactive forwards, winger Andre Burakovsky is back, but Jaden Schwartz and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare aren't, and won't be for a while.

(The only Schwartz we'll see when the Kraken host the Ottawa Senators tonight at Climate Pledge Arena is his bobblehead giveaway.)

Coach Dave Hakstol has inserted Tye Kartye at center between Kailer Yamamoto and Burakovsky. Though Kartye hasn't played the position since his earliest junior hockey days, Hakstol likes how the new line has gelled.

Lineup juggling hasn't stopped the Kraken from gaining points in their last nine games (7-0-2). They go for 10 in a row tonight against the Senators.

Hakstol, Burakovsky, and center Yanni Gourde talk about Kartye's new role, and the next-man-up philosophy, in this Kraken Reaction video.
