We Discuss OHL Kraken Draft Picks With Writer & Scout Joely Stockl

Seattle Kraken prospect Jagger Firkus - ho-hum - recorded an assist as his Moose Jaw Warriors topped the Calgary Hitmen 5-2 in a Thursday WHL contest.

The big news would have been if Firkus hadn't contributed to the scoresheet. The Seattle Kraken 2022 2nd round draft pick has earned at least a point in 25 straight games. That's every Warriors game in December, in January, and so far in February.

Our colleague Adam Kierszenblat, who covers the WHL for THN, writes, "He has a chance to beat Connor Bedard and Logan Stankoven's point streaks of 35 games and will be looking to record the first-ever 40-game point streak since the 1996-97 season, which is the first season statistics are available on the WHL site."

Firkus will attempt to extend his streak Saturday when the Warriors host the Calgary Hitmen.

Even better for the Kraken, Firkus isn't the only Seattle prospect rampaging through major junior hockey. In the first of a multi-part conversation, we get the lowdown from THN's Ontario Hockey League correspondent, Joely Stockl. That's today's Kraken Reaction conversation.
