Kraken Host Wild Sunday In Third Of Six Game Homestand

Health, or lack of it, is another factor which distinguishes this season's Seattle Kraken from the much more successful 2022-23 version.
Goalie Philipp Grubauer is the latest to join the growing injured reserve wing at Climate Pledge Arena. Grubauer, who hurt himself doing the splits to make a save in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Tampa Bay, is listed by the team as "week to week."
That's the same designation used for star wingers Jaden Schwartz and Andre Burakovsky.
The walking wounded also includes defenseman Justin Schultz, who took a puck to the face in the Lightning game and didn't play after early in the 2nd period.
Joey Daccord, who relieved Grubauer for the 3rd period and overtime against Tampa, will start Sunday night against the Minnesota Wild. Chris Driedger, recalled from AHL Coachella Valley will sit second chair. Jaycob Megna has also been recalled from the Firebirds.
In a sense, the entire Kraken team is limping. Seattle is suffering through a seven game losing streak (0-5-2). Until Jared McCann's 3rd period power play goal briefly put the Kraken up 3-2 against Tampa Bay, Seattle hadn't even held a lead in any of those losses.
