Turner Ottenbreit Returns to the AHL with Coachella Valley Firebirds for the 2024-25 Season.
The Coachella Valley Firebirds have signed former Seattle Thunderbirds Captain Turner Ottenbreit for the 2024-2025 AHL season.
The 27-year-old, 6'3", 192-pound, left-handed defenseman played four seasons (2014–2018) with the Thunderbirds. In his last year with Seattle, Ottenbreit was named captain and helped lead the Thunderbirds to the 2017 WHL Championship.
The Saskatchewan native, known for his fiery attitude on the ice, spent the last year with the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), playing for the Kunlun Red Star in Beijing, China. Prior to that, he bounced around in the AHL, skating with the Iowa Wild and the San Antonio Rampage.
