Seattle, WA - Head Coach Dan Bylsma provided a brief update on Seattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde, who has been on injured reserve since January 4th due to a lower-body injury.

Gourde participated in Thursday’s morning skate at the team’s practice facility, wearing a red no-contact jersey. He appeared to be moving well during several drills alongside teammates Jordan Eberle, Ryker Evans, and Brandon Montour, all of whom have also battled their own injuries this season. While it’s still unclear when Gourde will return to full game action, his progress is a positive sign for the Kraken.
The Kraken will hold an open practice at the Kraken Community Iceplex Friday, February 28th at 10AM. The team will host Pacific Division rivals the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, March 1st at Climate Pledge Arena at 7PM.
