Seattle Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen has been dominating the 2025 IIHF Men's World Championship and is leading the way for Team Finland.

Team Finland overpowered Slovenia today, defeating them 9-1, in large part due to Tolvanen's four-goal performance. He recorded a hat trick in the second period and added his fourth of the game in the third period.

The 26-year-old now has six goals and seven points in four games, leading Team Finland in goals and ranking second in points. He impressively ranks first and second in both categories for all participants in the tournament, although a few teams have played three games.

Tolvanen's first dominant display came against France. Late in the third period, he scored two goals to tie the game and send it to overtime. New York Rangers' Juuso Parssinen went on to score the overtime winner for Finland.

With three games remaining in the group stage, Finland is positioned in an excellent spot to advance to the knockout rounds. With a 2-1-0-1 record, they ranked third in Group A with eight points. Latvia and Slovakia are on their tails, but Finland is set to play both teams to conclude the round-robin.
