Seattle Kraken's leading AHL scorer Kole Lind has signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Stars.
The 25-year-old spent the past three seasons with the Kraken organization and most recently scored 17 goals and 65 points in 69 games. He started his professional career with the Utica Comets, the New Jersey Devils' AHL affiliate.
Lind has featured in 24 games with the Kraken recording two goals and eight points. The 6'1 winger was instrumental in both runs to the Calder Cup finals registering 14 goals and 42 points in 44 games.
Joining the Stars organization, Lind will hope to get some NHL action but with the deep forward group the Stars have and the numerous prospects they have waiting for their moment, he could find it difficult to get the call-up.
Drafted with the 33rd pick in the 2017 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks, Lind still has time on his side to become a full-time NHLer but signing a two-way contract will make that a bit challenging.
