Kraken prospect Blake Fiddler commits to powerhouse Denver, bringing his imposing physicality and elite puck-moving skills to the collegiate ice.

Kraken prospect Blake Fiddler has announced his commitment to University of Denver.  The 2025 2nd round pick will join fellow Kraken prospect Clarke Caswell in the NCAA for the 2026-27 season.

The 19-year-old defenseman is known for his physical game.  At 6’5” and 212 pounds, Fiddler is known for his positioning and his Intelligent off-puck play.  His size and speed give him an edge over opponents.  He spent the 2025 season with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL where he played 63 regular season games notching 11 goals and 25 assists and was +23 and served as an alternate captain.

On the international stage, Fiddler joined the US National U18 Team in 2024.  He participated in the World Junior Championship playing seven games with two goals and a single assist, ending with a +8. 

The two-way defenseman will join the 2026 Frozen Four Champion Denver Pioneers.  The Pioneers have taken home the title a record eleven times, four of those in the past ten years.
