As impressive of a win as it was on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, winning 5-1, the St. Louis Blues (5-3-0) cannot afford to get complacent when they take on the struggling Montreal Canadiens (2-4-1) today at 6 p.m. (FDSNMW, ESPN 101.1-FM) at Bell Centre.

The Blues have won three of four on the road this season and have done so in impressive fashion. Montreal has been outscored 17-6 in losing three in a row at home and outscored 20-9 in losing four straight.

This is one of those buyer beware moments that the coaching staff will have to keep close tabs on in making sure the players are prepared.

The Blues won both games against the Canadiens last season, outscoring them 13-5, including a resounding 7-2 win in that building.

    * Philip Broberg, who was hit in the face by a stick during the morning skate but will play after receiving stitches according to the team, will look to stay hot, having collected at least a point in seven of eight games (two goals, five assists).

    * After he went without a point in his first three games of the season, Brandon Saad has two goals and an assist in his past two games.

    * Jordan Kyrou has three assists the past two games and has nine points (two goals, seven assists) to lead the Blues this season.

    * Jake Neighbours has four points (three goals, one assist) the past four games after no points in four games to begin the season.

    * Dylan Holloway has three goals the past three games after none the first five.

    * Jordan Binnington needs one win to tie Jake Allen for second on the franchise all-time wins list with 148. Mike Liut is first at 151 wins.

    * Only change is Zack Bolduc playing in his home province and replacing Kasperi Kapanen in the lineup; it's also a home provincial return too for Mathieu and P.O. Joseph.
