My player to watch for the St. Louis Blues in the second of a four-game homestand on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens is goalie Joel Hofer.
Hofer hasn't been confirmed as the starter as of yet but he is expected to get the nod tonight after Jordan Binnington's 33-save performance in a 4-1 win against the New Jersey Devils on Friday.
Binnington was sharp, especially as the game wore on Friday, and the Blues will want to see Hofer build off his performance and see Hofer build off his own performance from his last start, a 3-0 win at the Calgary Flames on Oct. 26.
The Blues were not good in their first set of back-to-back outings, losing to the Vancouver Canucks 5-0 on Oct. 27; they will try to alleviate that here tonight but may need to see Hofer make some key saves, especially early on, in order to get into a rhythm.
