ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Blues crowd on Saturday didn't disappoint.
They gave Toronto Maple Leafs coach, and former Blues coach, Craig Berube a rousing ovation when a video tribute was played during the first television time out of the Blues' game against the Leafs.
Berube downplayed the moment, as usual, and did so during the pregame availability, trying to stay in the moment of coaching his team but acknowledged the crowd with a wave to them.
Berube coached the Blues to their first and only Stanley Cup in 2019 when they defeated the Boston Bruins in seven games.
The tribute featured Berube's pregame speech prior to Game 7 that will go down in Blues lore, at least to their fans, it will.
Berube spent parts of six seasons coaching the Blues before being fired Dec. 12, 2023.
