The St. Louis Blues have announced that Dillon Dube has suffered a neck injury and will be re-evaluated in eight weeks.

On Saturday, GM Alexander Steen announced that forward Dillon Dube will miss the next eight weeks with a neck injury.

Dube was involved in an awkward collision with San Jose Sharks forward Will Smith. Dube hit the boards head-first, and it immediately looked bad for his neck.

The Blues went on to lose 3-2 in overtime after Dube scored a shorthanded goal. The goal was Dube's first goal of the season and his first since Nov. 16, 2023. Dube played three games before his injury, scoring the lone goal and averaging 11:32 of ice time.

With Dube injured and heading to the injured reserve, he joins Logan Mailloux, Tyler Tucker, and Alexey Toropchenko on the injured list. Zach Dean is expected to join the Blues lineup in Dube's absence.

Dean has skated in one regular-season game with the Blues this season and has played 10 NHL games in total. The 23-year-old plays at a fast pace and looks to dish the puck as a playmaker.

Dean will have the opportunity to step into the lineup tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
