The St. Louis Blues have announced that defenseman Colton Parayko will undergo a scope on his left knee and be re-evaluated in six weeks. With this timeline, Parayko is likely done for the rest of the regular season.
This is just awful news for the Blues. The Central Division club is currently fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, and they will now be without their top defenseman. Parayko being out makes this already challenging task far more difficult.
Parayko has been excellent for the Blues this season, too. In 62 games, he scored a career-high 15 goals and posted 35 points, 90 hits, and 140 blocks.
We will now need to wait and see how the Blues adjust without Parayko in their lineup from here.
