The NHL's official Facebook account shared its defense projections for each team in the Central Division. Here is how they see the St. Louis Blues' defense looking at the start of the 2025-26 season.
For the Blues' top pairing, the NHL's account sees Cam Fowler playing alongside Colton Parayko. This is a no-brainer as Fowler worked incredibly well on a pairing with Parayko after being acquired from Anaheim Ducks. Thus, it would make all the sense in the world for these two to continue to play on the same pairing in 2025-26.
The NHL's account sees Philip Broberg playing on the Blues' second pairing with Justin Faulk. This is another pairing that would not be surprising to see, as they two have already played together. Furthermore, Broberg could certainly continue to learn playing alongside a respected veteran like Faulk again.
For the Blues' third pairing, the NHL's account has Tyler Tucker playing with newcomer Logan Mailloux. This would be a very intriguing pairing to watch, as these are two young defensemen continuing to improve. Perhaps playing together could allow this duo to each take another step forward in their development.
