Kessel, who has played in 27 games this season (three assists) with the Blues before being assigned to the Thunderbirds, has been brought back up in light of the Blues' injury news on Thursday regarding top blueliner Colton Parayko.

Parayko was injured on Wednesday at the end of overtime of a 3-2 shootout win and will have his left knee scoped, with the team announcing he will be reevaluated in six weeks.

The Blues (30-27-6) will play at the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
