    The big right-shot depth defenseman is staying put in St. Louis for at least another year

    The Blues announced on Sunday that they have re-signed defenseman Hunter Skinner to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 NHL and $80,000 AHL

    Skinner was part of the return St. Louis got from the New York Rangers in exchange for Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola on Feb. 9, 2023.

    The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defenseman has played 132 AHL games, including 50 games last season, where he had three goals, 10 points, and led the Springfield Thunderbirds in penalty minutes (94).

    Skinner was originally a fourth-round, 112th-overall draft pick by the Rangers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
