This Blues defenseman will be paired with this star for Team Canada.

Team Canada will face off against Team Sweden on Feb. 12 to get the 4 Nations Face-Off started. St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington will be Canada's starting goalie. Blues star Colton Parayko will also be on the ice for Canada.

Parayko is set to form an elite second pairing with Winnipeg Jets star blueliner Josh Morrisey for Canada's big contest against Sweden.

This defense pairing has the potential to be a smashing success for Team Canada. Parayko's shutdown ability and Morrisey's offense from the point could make this pairing thrive.

    Colton Parayko

Morrisey, 29, has been a significant reason for the Jets' success this season. In 56 games this campaign, he has seven goals, 46 points, and a plus-8 rating. This is after he had 10 goals and 69 points in 81 games last season.

Parayko, on the other hand, has 12 goals - a new career high - to go along with 29 points, 87 hits, and 127 blocks this season. Thus, besides being solid defensively, he also can contribute some offense from the point.

It will be fascinating to see how well this pairing works together, but it looks incredible on paper.
