    ST. LOUIS -- Brandon Saad's goal in the first period for the St. Louis Blues against the Winnipeg Jets was the 500th NHL point of his career.

    Saad was on the doorstep and scored on a rebound of a Robert Thomas wrister from the blue line past Connor Hellebuyck to make it 1-0 at 10:11.

    Saad, who missed the first three games of the season due to the birth of his third child, is playing in his fourth game this season; his career has spanned with the Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Colorado Avalanche.
