MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- Philip Broberg looked like his old self Friday.

The St. Louis Blues defenseman skated without any restrictions, once again getting in a full practice ahead of Saturday's home matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers.

And judging by his workload, skating with Colton Parayko and quarterbacking the second power play unit, unless there's a setback, look for Broberg to return exactly four weeks after Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner fell on the defenseman's right leg Nov. 2, injuring his right knee.

"We'll see," Broberg said after practice Friday. "I'm starting to feel better and better. ... We'll see when I'll be ready and how it's feeling, but it felt good today.

"When you get injured like that, you always think the worst. I was fortunate that it wasn't too bad. It's getting better. It's a good feeling."

Blues coach Jim Montgomery liked what he saw.

"He looked good," Montgomery said of Broberg. "It was nice to see someone that big that can skate that well."

The Blue have gone 5-6-1 in the 12 games Broberg has missed.

"Broberg's making the steps to get back into the lineup," Montgomery said. "He's real close. We're going to see how he is after recovery from a real hard practice today."

In a corresponding move, the Blues assigned defenseman Corey Schueneman to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
