    Former St. Louis Blues defenseman Jake Walman is losing some money from his pocket.

    NHL Player Safety has announced that Walman has been fined $5,000 for roughing Matthew Tkachuk during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.

    Walman also received another $5,000 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct "for an incident involving Florida's bench" during the Game 3 matchup. 

    Walman's roughing incident occurred at the 14:44 mark of the third period. While in front of Edmonton's net, Wahlman threw multiple punches at Tkachuk while he was being held by Oilers defenseman John Klingberg. 

    Walman's unsportsmanlike conduct incident happened during the second period of the contest. During it, Walman sprayed his water at the Panthers' bench. 

    Walman, 29, was acquired by the Oilers from the San Jose Sharks ahead of the 2025 NHL trade deadline. In 19 games this post-season for the Oilers, he has recorded one goal, eight points, and a plus-10 rating. 

    Walman was selected by the Blues with the 82nd overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 57 games over three seasons a Blue from 2019-20 to 2021-22, he had four goals, four assists, and a minus-3 rating.
