Jordan Binnington has been selected as the St. Louis Blues’ 2026 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy nominee.

Jordan Binnington has been named the St. Louis Blues’ 2026 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy nominee.

This is awarded annually to the player who “best exemplifies qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey.” Every April, the Professional Hockey Writers Association decides who is nominated from each team. The responsibility for selecting each team’s nominee lies with their local PHWA chapter.

This season, the St. Louis chapter selected the 32-year-old goaltender.

While Binnington has struggled statistically for the Blues this season, posting a career-worst .874 save percentage and a 3.29 goals-against average in 39 games, he has succeeded in other areas.

With Canada, Binnington has stood tall, winning gold at the 4 Nations Face-Off last year and winning silver at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Currently, 32 nominees are competing for the Bill Masterson Memorial Trophy, but the field will be reduced to three before the NHL Awards this summer. The PWHA will also select the award winner.
