All eyes will be on St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou during the final days of June. This is because his full no-trade clause until the end of the 2029-30 season starts on July 1. Thus, if the Blues want to move him, now would be the time to.

With this, Kyrou has been the subject of plenty of trade speculation over the last few weeks. There are a ton of teams that would likely love to have the 27-year-old forward on their roster, as he is an impactful top-six forward coming his third 70-point season.

During a recent episode of 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman mentioned a potential suitor for Kyrou - the Seattle Kraken.

"You heard Doug Armstrong say that if there's a center available, that he would consider (trading Kyrou.) I'll say this. One of the teams I wonder about for Kyrou is Seattle. And I don't know if it's over because it happened at the draft, but Seattle has a lot of centers, and that's the kind of player I can see Seattle being interested in... I think there was some talk about it before the draft and, I don't know if it's still alive, but that was something else I heard about."

When looking at the Kraken's roster, it is fair to argue that they could use a star like Kyrou in their top six. This is especially the case when it comes to the right wing position, so it is understandable that Friedman could see the Kraken being a potential suitor for Kyrou.

The Kraken have also been active this off-season. They notably acquired Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars in a cap dump move, but they should not be done yet. It is clear that they need to boost their forward group further if they hope to get back into the playoffs, so it would be understandable if they made a push for a star like Kyrou.
