Carolina as good as advertised; Blues find way to overcome poor start to game, get contributions from everyone to win for fourth time in six games

ST. LOUIS -- It was a battle of attrition for the St. Louis Blues in their 4-3 win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday at Enterprise Center.
A game that looked like it was going to get away from them early was still hanging in the balance thanks to 18 saves by Joel Hofer when the Blues were outshot 19-4, were down 32-7 in shot attempts, out-chanced 7-2 and the Hurricanes held a 6:00-2:22 advantage in offensive zone time of possession in the opening 20 minutes.
When the Blues finally got their checking legs going and were able to get pucks in behind the 'Canes, they scored three goals in 3:09 thanks to goals by Mathieu Joseph, Jake Neighbours and Dylan Holloway.
And after giving up the lead early in the third period, Kasperi Kapanen restored the lead the Blues (4-2-0) held for good and earned a victory that was tough to come by but deserved when they started playing the right way.
