Hockey will be the focus at the end of the week, and the St. Louis Blues will be well-represented at the annual World Junior Summer Showcase.
The event will begin on Friday, July 26 and run through August 3 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich. and include teams from the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden.
The Blues, who were well-represented at last year's event, will have six players in Plymouth this year. They include defensemen Paul Fischer (2023 fifth-round pick), Colin Ralph (2024 second-round pick) and Lukas Fischer (2024 second-round pick) for USA; defenseman Quinton Burns (2023 third-round pick) for Canada, and defenseman Theo Lindstein (2023 first round pick, 29th overall) and forward Otto Stenberg (2023 first-round pick, 25th overall) for Sweden.
The Showcase is an evaluation for players looking to make their respective national teams for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, which will take place Dec. 26, 2024-Jan. 5, 2025 in Ottawa.
Nine games will be played among the teams as part of the Showcase and a complete schedule can be found here.
