
St. Louis Blues prospects Paul Fischer and Colin Ralph each was in the lineup Wednesday for USA against Finland at the 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase.
USA has combined its lineup for the rest of the week after playing two sides, with a Blue and a White lineup, for the remainder of the showcase and the Americans fell for the first time, going down to Finland 5-3 at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
Ralph, a 2024 second-round pick represented USA White in two games prior, and Fischer, a 2023 fifth-round pick, represented USA Blue in two prior games, along with 2024 second-round pick Lukas Fischer, who was not in the lineup for USA on Wednesday.
Neither Paul Fischer nor Ralph were part of the scoring for USA, which dropped its first game between all combined teams, despite outshooting Finland 42-26. Finland picked up its first win after losing to each of the USA Blue and USA White squads.
Another off day on Thursday before action picks back up on Friday when Canada and Blues prospect Quinton Burns, a 2023 third-round pick, make their tourney debut against Finland at noon (CT), followed by USA against Sweden at 3 p.m. All games from the showcase are streamed live and on-demand on USAHockeyTV.com.
