Nikita Alexandrov concluded February the way he started it.

The St. Louis Blues prospect (second round, 2019 NHL Draft) was named the player of the month for Springfield of the American Hockey League when he had an assist on Friday in a 4-3 shootout loss against Hartford, then had two more assists and the shootout-deciding goal in a 4-3 win against Providence on Saturday:

Alexandrov finished February with 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) for the Thunderbirds and is averaging 1.10 points per game (32 points; 15 goals, 17 assists):

He was featured here last week highlighting the prospect report when he started February with an eight-game point streak.

    * When Adam Jecho (third round, 2024) scored twice on Feb. 25 in a 4-0 win against Moose Jaw of the Western Hockey League, the Edmonton forward had put himself together a five-game goal streak (seven goals):

Adam Jecho scored twice against Moose Law on Feb. 25 to give the forward a five-game goal streak.

Jecho, who is up to 48 points (24 goals, 24 assists) in 48 games for the Oil Kings, also scored a power-play goal with 2:38 remaining in what would amount to be the game-winner in a 5-4 win against fellow Blues prospect Tomas Mrsic (fourth round, 2024) and Prince Albert on Friday.

    * Let's just call the right circle Dalibor Dvorsky's office because the No. 10 pick in the 2023 draft continues to score one-timers from there.

He would score in Saturday's shootout win against the Bruins off this setup by Alexandrov:

Dalibor Dvorsky scores from his office on Saturday for Springfield against Providence.

    * Lukas Fischer (second round, 2024) continues to lead all Blues defensive prospects with 15 goals after he scored twice this past week.

Fischer was a bit fortunate last Wednesday for Sarnia of the Ontario Hockey League when he scored in a 6-2 loss sgainst Flint:

But on Friday, the left-hander fired in this long-range wrister to open the scoring in the first period of a 4-3 overtime loss at Kitchener:

Lukas Fischer opens the scoring for Sarnia against Kitchener.

Fischer is now up to 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) in 42 games for the Sting.
