ST. LOUIS -- Jordan Binnington continues to climb the record books.
With Saturday's 4-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Binnington tied former teammate and current New Jersey Devils goalie Jake Allen for second all-time in Blues history with 148 wins when he made 35 saves.
Binnington, who took over for Allen as the No. 1 goalie in 2019, is 148-99-31 in his Blues career.
It's fitting he tied Allen by beating former Blues coach Craig Berube, who was on the other bench Saturday coaching the Leafs.
"I have so much love for 'Jakey,'" Binnington said of Allen, who was 148-94-26 in seven seasons with the Blues. "He really showed me the way. He was a great partner and friend. It's fun to be there with him."

Binnington only trails Mike Liut, who holds the record with 151 wins. Liut, by the way, happens to be Binnington's agent and is coming after the record.
"I think he knows," Binnington said with a grin.
