And by well-rounded, contributing on the offensive side as well.

Center had goal, assist for first multi-point game with Blues in 3-2 OT win over Bruins

It came one game later, but Faksa played a large role, along with his 'WTF' linemates Nathan Walker and Alexey Toropchenko, in fueling the St. Louis Blues' 3-2 overtime win against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Saturday to end a four-game losing skid (0-3-1).

Brayden Schenn may have scored the OT game-winner, but the line of Faksa, Walker and Toropchenko produced the two regulation goals to get the game there, and Faksa didn't do it with one of those top-10 highlight moments, but he was in the right place at the right time to deflect home Scott Perunovich's one-timer from the left point 6:25 into the first period to give the Blues a 1-0 lead:

What probably was more impressive was this no-look backhand feed to Walker for the tying goal at 9:18 of the third period to tie the game 2-2:

Faksa didn't do himself any favors on the face-off dot Saturday, winning only three of 14 draws after going 11 of 15 Thursday, but he had three shots on goal, was physical, forechecked effectively and was a plus-1 in 13:39.
