Blues defenseman once again played fundamentally sound game, had assist on only goal in 2-1 loss to Flyers

It's becoming common to complement St. Louis Blues defenseman Philip Broberg.
That's because Broberg continues to put forth solid performance after solid performance in his first season in St. Louis.
It's just 11 games but it really is time to quit saying, 'It's only a small sample size.' Let's just say it: this kid is legit, and he continues to grow.
Broberg had an assist, his career-high ninth point in a season (two goals, seven assists) in just his 11th game with the Blues, setting up Nathan Walker's tying goal to make it 1-1 at 9:58 of the third period of a 2-1 loss against the Philadelphia Flyers.
But aside from making a clean seam shot/pass to Walker, Broberg played 20:53 and was a plus-1 for the game, making him a team-best plus-6 on the season, and had shots on goal (five attempts) and two blocks.
He continues to play sound, fundamental defense in zone and makes the right reads moving up the ice. His partnership with Justin Faulk continues to stay rock solid and makes Broberg THN's player of the game.
