Blues forward helped team refocus after scary situation with teammate Dylan Holloway, fuel 3-2 come-from-behind win
ST. LOUIS -- How does one respond to the unthinkable, when in a moment's notice, the St. Louis Blues are solely focused on winning a hockey game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and then a teammate all of the sudden comes under duress?
That was what the Blues dealt with in a scary situation when Dylan Holloway was attended to on the bench before being escorted off on a stretcher.
But once news came that Holloway was alert and stable on the way to the hospital, the Blues had to quickly shift from concern for a teammate to trying to win a hockey game.
Insert Nathan Walker, who helped fuel the 3-2 come-from-behind win over the Lightning.
He was originally given an assist on Alexey Toropchenko's goal that put the Blues ahead 2-1 late in the second period before it was taken away. He and Radek Faksa did the work, reuniting the 'WTF Line,' behind the net before Toropchenko scored a beauty at 18:25.
"It took us a while to get going and then Nathan Walker went out there and had a heck of a shift, got us some momentum, energized us a little bit and then we kind of followed it up after that. I thought he had a great game tonight and then he got us going there in the second period."
Walker played 13:31 in the game and had a game-high seven hits.
