Blues captain gaining traction since hiring of Jim Montgomery as coach, has four points, plus-4 in past four games; 25 points in career against Flames

It's easy to stick with the hot player when things are going well, which they are at present time for the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues (12-12-2), who continue their tour of Canada on the second of a four-game trip today at 8 p.m. (FDSNMW, ESPN 101.1-FM) against the Calgary Flames (13-9-4), have a number of skaters going.

Dylan Holloway is probably on the biggest points heater right now with seven in a four-game point streak (four goals, three assists), and Jordan Kyrou is coming off a two-goal game Tuesday in a 4-1 win against the Winnipeg Jets to kick off the trip, but captain Brayden Schenn has been the center of that line with Holloway and Kyrou; they combined for five points (three goals, two assists) Tuesday.

Schenn, who assisted on Kyrou's opener Tuesday, had arguably his best game. Not only did he factor in the scoring but his all-around game was affective.

Schenn had a couple hits but one was a jarring one on Jets defenseman Haydn Fleury behind the Winnipeg net, his defensive habits were strong and Schenn was strong on face-offs, winning 11 of 14 (79 percent).

Since Jim Montgomery took over as coach four games ago, Schenn has a goal and three assists and is a plus-4, including a plus-2 in the game Tuesday.

Schenn is no stranger to success against the Flames either with 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) in 28 games, including three game-winning goals.
