ST. LOUIS -- Jordan Kyrou will get a crack at redemption when the Blues (11-12-1) host the Philadelphia Flyers (11-10-3) today at 6 p.m. (FDSNMW, ESPN 101.1-FM).
It was Oct. 31 when Kyrou over-skated a puck that led to the Flyers scoring what turned out to be the game-winning goal with over three minutes left in a 2-1 loss. So the forward would love nothing more than to make an impact in the game against that very same team.
Kyrou is also, though, on a solid point run with a point in 10 of the past 13 games (five goals, five assists), and with a player that isn't shy about shooting pucks, and a Flyers team that loves to block shots, Kyrou and the Blues must look to stick with the program, even if shots do get blocked.
"It's even more important that you look to shoot quicker, so that they don't get in lanes, because you know that they're going to sacrifice," Blues coach Jim Montgomery said. "So if you wait and look for a passing option instead of having a shot-first mentality, it allows them to get in shot lanes."
