The Lightning and Flames are playing the first of two matchups this season. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride so far and the west coast road trip has been no different.
The Lightning still have a chance to come back home with more wins than losses, which would be a nice step in getting back to where they'd like to be. Lightning coach Jon Cooper confirmed this afternoon that Victor Hedman will be back in the lineup tonight, giving them a significant boost.
The win against Edmonton wasn’t necessarily a lesson in “process” but it was a reminder to the players that they have what it takes to win. If the Lightning can continue turning their chances into goals, they should be well on their way to grabbing a second straight.
As for Calgary, they’ve lost six of their last seven games, allowing 29 goals in each. On average they're allowing 3 goals per game, meaning they're tied with the Lightning for the third-highest in the league so far this season.
One last late game before we’re all back to normal! Puck drop is at 10pm.
