Brandon Halverson Re-Assigned to Syracuse cover image

On Sunday morning, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they had re-assigned goaltender Brandon Halverson to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Halverson was recalled on Friday, ahead of the Lightning's game against the St. Louis Blues. He served as the backup goaltender behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, before being sent back to the Crunch early on Sunday.

At the NHL level, Halverson has made a single appearance for the Lightning which saw him register just six seconds of ice time against the New York Islanders back in December.

The majority of Halverson's season has been spent with the Crunch, where he's been their starting goaltender. He's played 20 games this season for Syracuse, recording a 12-6-3 record.  During that stretch, he's registered a 2.42 goals against average and a save percentage of .899 for the Crunch.

The Crunch will likely see Halverson return to their lineup tomorrow night, as a part of their Monday matinee game against the Rochester Americans, but that has yet to be confirmed.
