
Head coach Jon Cooper has a lot on his plate at the moment.
Between coaching the hottest team in the NHL at the moment, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and preparing to be behind the bench for Team Canada at the upcoming Olympic Games, it's certainly a lot for one man to balance.
It gets even more difficult when those two jobs intersect. He has already had to replace one member of the Lightning, Anthony Cirelli, on Team Canada due to injury. Now, he's preparing to make another decision: whether or not Brayden Point will be ready enough to compete in Milan-Cortina.
The preliminary games are set to begin in less than a week and, although it seems like Point is nearly ready for a return, it's a tough balancing act. Of course, Point will want to represent his country at the biggest stage in international sports. At the same time, Cooper will also need to make the decision that is best for both Team Canada, and his Tampa Bay Lightning.
