The Tampa Bay Lightning are getting another defenseman back from injury ahead of the playoffs.
On Thursday, Erik Erlendsson of the Lightning Insider reported that defenseman Declan Carlile has been activated off of the injured reserve. Carlile had been out for nearly a month, with his last appearance coming against the Detroit Red Wings on March 12.
Carlile has split his time between the Lightning and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, this season. In 38 games at the NHL level, the 25 year old defenseman has scored a goal and added two assists.
Meanwhile, Carlile has been an alternate captain during his time with the Crunch this season. He's appeared in 16 games this season, scoring two goals and a total of 11 points.
Carlile is taking warmups for tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens, so it appears he'll be making his return to the Lightning lineup.
