This former Lightning forward has picked up his play at the perfect time.
The New York Rangers are set to play Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night. The Rangers have been excellent this postseason, and it's because not only their stars have stepped up but also their depth guys.
Former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Barclay Goodrow is a great example of this, as he has made a strong impact for the Rangers this postseason.
Goodrow, 31, has woken up offensively, as he has three goals, five points, and a plus-5 rating in 10 games. He also ended the series against the Carolina Hurricanes on fire, scoring two goals in his final three games. In addition, he has also continued to be a strong presence with his physicality and leadership.

Seeing Goodrow regain his form in the playoffs is simply excellent. The veteran forward noticeably struggled this season, posting just four goals, eight assists, and a minus-13 rating in 80 games. This was after he had 11 goals and 31 points in 82 games with the Blueshirts just last season.
Goodrow's goal from here will now be to continue to stay hot. The offense he has given the Rangers' fourth line has benefited the club tremendously, and it will be fun to see how he does in the third round against a tough Panthers club.
