This former Lightning prospect is heading to the SHL.
A former Tampa Bay Lightning depth forward is heading to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
Orebro HK of the SHL has announced that they have signed former Lightning depth forward Wojciech Stachowiak.
Stachowiak joined the Lightning this past off-season after spending his previous six seasons the German DEL. From there, he spent the first half of the 2025-26 season with the Lightning's AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
In 38 games with the Crunch during this past season, Stachowiak posted nine goals, eight assists, 17 points, and 28 penalty minutes. Overall, he provided the Crunch with decent secondary offensive production but never made an appearance for the Lightning.
Stachowiak's time with the Lightning organization ended when he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings later on during last season. He put together strong offensive totals with the Grand Rapids Griffins after that, as he posted four goals and 15 points in 10 games.
Stachowiak will now be looking to impress with Orebro HK from here.
