Former Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jack Thompson is on the move once again.
The Lightning's third round selection in 2020, Thompson left the organization as a part of the trade that brought Anthony Duclair to Tampa ahead of the 2024 Trade Deadline. Prior to that, he spent parts of three seasons with the Syracuse Crunch and played a single NHL game with the Lightning.
Since that trade, Thompson had been in the San Jose Sharks organization, spending the majority of his time in the American Hockey League with the San Jose Barracuda.
Earlier today it was announced that Thompson had been traded once again, this time to Vancouver. The Sharks traded Thompson to the Vancouver Canucks for Jett Woo in a rare player-for-player swap.
