This former Lightning forward has been placed on waivers by the Bruins.
A former Tampa Bay Lightning forward is available for the taking.
On Sunday, the Boston Bruins placed former Lightning forward Mikey Eyssimont on waivers.
Eyssimont being placed on waivers by the Bruins comes after he was a healthy scratch for each of their first three games of the season. There simply has not been room for the former Lightning forward in Boston's lineup, so it is not necessarily surprising to see him now being placed on waivers.
Eyssimont appeared in 58 games during this past season with the Bruins, where he recorded eight goals, 18 points, 54 hits, and a minus-3 rating. This was after he had nine goals, 16 points, 63 penalty minutes, and 110 hits in 77 games split between the Lightning and Seattle Kraken in 2024-25.
Eyssimont spent three seasons with the Lightning from 2022-23 to 2024-25, where he recorded 17 goals, 20 assists, 37 points, 170 penalty minutes, 251 hits, and a plus-4 rating in 153 games. This included him setting career highs with 11 goals, 14 assists, and 25 points in 81 games for Tampa Bay in 2023-24.
It will now be interesting to see if the former Bolt gets claimed by another team from here. He is in the final season of his contract, carrying a $1.45 million cap hit.
